Judge: Mrs. Ann Phillips (SUNLINE) I would like to thank the Mayflower Club for inviting me to judge your Fall Match. Even though the day was far less than perfect?pelting down rain, rivers of water flowing through the parking lot. and at times a thundering wind?the members pulled out the stops and bravely brought their puppies to the park to be shown. Thankfully, the ?fallback? plan included a pavilion with a rain-proof roof. There were enough chairs available to use as ring markers. The sturdy crew and brave little dogs prevailed to the end. Thank you also to Mary Fine, ring steward, for keeping everything moving along and figuring out a way to bring dogs into the ring without much space with which to work. Warren and I would both like to thank you all for your legendary Mayflower hospitality and a lunch not to be forgotten.*
***PUPPY DOGS, 3-6 MONTHS***
1. LIONCREST LEGENDARY CHARMER Owners: Tara, Margaret and Clare Daly. This red and white puppy has a very sweet expression, good turn of stifle, and free and smooth reach in its side gait. He is the proper height from the ground, with hocks being in proper portion to his outline. He also actually went around the ring well so that he could be judged for gait!
2. ARBOR FESTIONOG DREAM WEAVER Owners: Kathleen Broska and Margaret Thomas. A young red and white lad with lots of bone. He had lovely strong side gait when he went. Had good layback of shoulder and a level top line. Nice potential here.
3. HERONSWAY A TUNE TO DANCE Owner: Anne H. Bowes. This was a nice dark red and white puppy. Very clean looking little chap. He had a little too much stop for 1st or 2nd above, but a level top line and a closer working coat than the two above. His side gait had drive and resolve.
4. SOLAS SAND DUNE Owner: Ann Anderson. A tricolor puppy. Had a level top line and good turn of stifle. It was a little difficult to judge his movement for any length of time because he was having lots of fun. He was a fun loving fearless little guy. Loved his attitude.
***PUPPY DOGS, 6-9 MONTHS***
1. PEMBURY HOUSE EROS Owners: Sandi Eaton and Judy Pilat. Tricolor boy. Nice length, gorgeous follow through on side gait. He had a pleasing head with proper portions and a lovely sleek dark black coat.
2. WINDDANCER ROYAL HIGH CARD Owner: Mary DeToma. Another lovely tri boy. He has everything of #1 above. His ears are a bit wobbly at this stage.
3. WIND DANCER ROYALE FLUSH Owner: Mary DeToma. This was a red and white puppy. He had a very sleek coat, lovely gliding side gate, and good length.
4. SANDFOX ORION OF REDBROOK Owners: Robert and Terry Dana. This red and white chap was shorter than three above. He had gliding side gait and was a fun loving little dog with a pleasing head. He obviously was enjoying his day out despite the foul weather.
***PUPPY DOGS, 9-12 MONTHS***
1. CONANT BROOK FARM STAR GAZER Owner: Colleen Pisarski. A tricolor male. He had a beautiful coat and nice side gait. I would rather he had more bone in his rear legs.
2. HIGHLANDERS BIG BEN Owners: Jane and Lynn Knight. Another tri male. He had nice length of body and a good side gait. He had a lighter eye, but it matched his reddish coat color. He did not stand true in front. Was a little more unsettled than #1 today.
***OPEN DOGS***
1. LIONCREST GALLANT FOX Owners Tara, Margaret, Clare and John Daly. A breathtaking, absolutely beautiful, red headed tri boy. He had a level top line, flowing side gait, perky attitude, a fun loving, beautiful long dog. Up until this point, I had fallen in love with what would end up as my BEST PUPPY, but now I knew I was in trouble. I had to make a choice between these two beautiful Corgis. BEST ADULT, BEST IN MATCH.
***PUPPY BITCHES, 3-6 MONTHS***
1. HERONSWAY DREAM WORLD Owner: Anne H. Bowes. A lovely true sable. She had a level top line on the go and while standing still. Very feminine expression. She had a graceful flowing side gait.
2. SOLAS SAND CASTLE Owner: Ann Anderson. A very cute young red and white bitch. She was perky on the go around, with a proper tail set causing her to have a level top line on the go and standing still.
3. ARBOR FESTINIOG DREAM CATCHER Owners: Kathleen Broska and Margaret Thomas. This little tricolor girl had lots of bone with a nice head and pleasing expression. It was difficult to judge her side gate because she was a bit unsettled, but once in awhile I got a glimpse of it. She had a lovely thick black coat.
4. LIONCREST LASTING IMPRESSION Owners: Tara, Maragaret, Clare and John Daly. This exhibit was a very feminine looking red and white girl with a lighter eye. She was a little tentative today, but was a good mover when she got going and had a lovely deep red color to her coat.
***PUPPY BITCHES, 6-9 MONTHS***
1. PEMBURY HOUSE THE GIBSON GIRL Owner: Sandi Eaton. This was a lovely red and white bitch. She had nice length and a lovely proper portioned neck. She was extremely feminine, had flowing drive on the go around, true coming and going, and she simply won my heart. She is what I would call elegant. BEST PUPPY.
2. GAELAWS FROM ORDINARY Owner: Mary DeToma. A red and white puppy bitch that was not as long as #1 above, but she had a lovely coat and a good side gait. She was a little close in the rear at this stage.
3. XIII MAPLES CELESTE CONANT BROOK Owners: Colleen Pisarski and Ellen Childs. This was a very cute tricolor girl. She was fairly unstable on this wild weathered day and in this chaotic ring. Her side gait was difficult to read.
***PUPPY BITCHES, 9-12 MONTHS***
1. HIGHLANDERS ISABELLE Owners: Jane and Lena Knight. This tricolor girl had a free flowing side gait. She was carrying a low tail set giving the illusion of dropping off in the croup. But she was clean and very pretty.
***12-15 MONTH BITCHES***
1. SILVERMINE LOTUS BLOSSOM Owners: John and Laura Ward. This was a lovely tricolor girl. Good bone. Free flowing side gait, perky and very clean and crisp.
***OPEN BITCHES***
1. ARBOR FESTINIOG FLICKA Owners: David and Lee Carlson and Kathleen Broska. This tricolor girl was clean coming and going, had a level top line standing and on the go, but was a little hesitant under the conditions of today.
* Because of the extreme weather challenges, entry information did not include the breeders and breedings.
